And, they think the batteries died prematurely because, when new batteries are inserted, the remote will power on in CAR1 mode and solve the issue. When it was just in CAR2 the entire time. Not separately, no. The LINKR device is a cellular modem and connects to 4GLTE internet service (and our secure server only) just like a cell phone. So, it and your phone app can communicate.

Thanks for writing! First, make sure your remote is not in the wrong car profile. It has 2. If it was programmed in "vehicle 2" profile, when you change batteries, it will power up in "vehicle 1" profile first. This would be the most likely cause if your remote was working up until you changed the batteries. The system/receiver will not enter remote learn mode while the system is in a locked state. If you do not have a remote that works to unlock the system, you can turn on the ignition and tap the valet button once. This will force the system to enter an unlocked/disarmed state. Then you should be able to enter remote learn if needed. If that doesn't help, there may be some issue with your receiver/antenna or the cable to it. Best bet would be to visit your installer or call our support line at 800-554-4053 for further troubleshooting steps. Hope this helps!

I figured it out!! Somehow one of the cables that attaches to the module came out, I plugged it back in and it works. The module was hidden behind the brake/gas pedal mat

Jay, thanks for your perspective! This sounds like maybe it was a long time ago. We have many resellers offering all our solutions for DIY installs if that's the case. However, we do not sell any memory cards or "roms". We offer vehicle integration modules and all appropriate firmwares. The flashing cable for flashing/updating them is available from any Omega retailer. We just simply do not sell direct to end users as it is too much to handle being that we are a highly specialized brand focused only on remote start/security. Hope this helps!

@@omega1971 this last year I got cancer, 4 tumors cut out and I nought 2 kits because I really liked how the first turned out so my car was great,,, thought my truck and minivan would be good ,,,the 05 minivan I needed to dl a program then write to a me.ory card,, I have a degree in industrial electronics so dl the program but when I went to get the firmware for the card was refused I spent near 600bucks and was useless ,,was a terrible time because I had medical bills in northern MN 10 miles from Canada,,badger mn cancer center en grand forks ND 120 miles 1 way in winter,, often -50f with wind and snow storms I have to park a half a block away and walking after a kidney removal,, this year I just gave up and it was hard,,,never even got a refund,, so no I tell everyone it's alot of money and when you buy ,,andater learn you can buy the cards for the expansion slot, buy the kits, buy transmitters download the. Burner software, but hehe try to dl the software for dl tto the card,,,and be told licensed dealers only my emails likely I still have 2 years,,,and used omega products like 6 years till this

@@omega1971 you should be clear,,, that you will not support endusers, that they must seek out a "dealer" or just stop selling the kits, and make it against your rules for resellers to sell the kits... this is screwing people over isn't it?

The only thing we cannot do is provide you with vehicle specific technical support or help end users learn how to install for liability reasons and to support our incredible professional dealer network. It is clearly recommended in our guides that installation is done by a professional. Again, we do not sell the kits to end users, we never have. They have to be purchased through a selling dealer like any other professional product. Though, as mentioned, we have many online dealers that do support self-install and their business is to help you install the kit. And we have MANY happy DIY'ers out there using our products. Also again, if you need help, call our support line or email us and we will help or refer you to a dealer who will whether you prefer professional installation or to self-install. The most important thing: Anyone who does not have access to a local dealer and is considering self-installing, make sure you understand the requirements before purchasing by contacting our support line and choose a seller that can support you throughout the process.

Hi! I'm not 100% clear what you mean. The process in this video will not work to learn your factory fob to your truck. However, if you are asking if you can use your factory fob to control one of our systems, the answer is yes for your 2015 Silverado. Our system can be controlled by your factory fob for lock/arm, unlock/disarm, and start/stop. The recommended model would be the RS-170-B64 for this. Thanks for commenting! Though, that will not work on any Omega Legacy brands (Excalibur, K-9, etc) for learning remotes. It must be Ignition ON, valet button 5 times to learn remotes. Ignition OFF, valet button 5 times will enter feature/option programming only. Just want to be clear in case someone else reads this.

Doesn’t work. This system is garbage. Guess you need to be an installer to figure this junk out. Basic directions just don’t work for most people I guess.

Scott, thanks for the question. The answer is because this process applies to all systems we make however the available features and menus vary by product. Best bet is to refer to the chart in your manual or by getting the programming guide/install manual at www.caralarm.com for details on your particular model.

That's correct. As soon as a remote is learned, all previous remotes are erased to protect you from unauthorized transmitters. So, all remotes must be learned at the same time.

@@OmegaRD I had my Omega Mundial #433 remotes programmed today. However now when starting the car the horn toots 5 times. It didn't do this with one remote only. I've read where this feature terminates after 48 hours. Is that true? Thanks

@@ronalddupre9692 Yes, it will clear after 48 hours. This is a remote programming alert to warn you in case someone programmed unauthorized remotes to your system.

Did you ever figure this out? I just installed an Evo All and am trying to use the RFK-42-SST for the RF remote setup. Previously I've used Fortin RF kits with no issues.

@@OmegaRD I found the EVO-ALL had to be set to AudioVox for the RF kit type and not Fortin. Once I made that change I was able to get the remotes programmed and working.
